Jeremy was homeless for four out of eight years he was on the streets. He slept wherever he could, he sold the Big Issue, and begged for money. He slept (well, more like passed out) on some glass one night by accident and managed to get some time in hospital. He had scarring peppering his side after that. The Sunnyside Orphanage was ironically named. In the lower, bad part of London, it was full to bursting of junkie's unwanted or orphaned kids, and it was anything but sunny. Hell, despite the fact that none of the kids there had any aspirations of a happy life, the sun itself never shone there, literally. The huge, cramped flats surrounding it made sure of that. Ash sat cross-legged on her floor, staring at the canvas in front of her. She hadn't touched any of her supplies since before Tristan died. Sighing, she shakily picked up her brush and began her work. Two hours later, she finally gave up, leaving the canvas to dry and going to the bathroom to clean her brushes. After all of that was put away, she sat in the bathtub and began to cry. She couldn't do it. Her hands were ruined beyond repair. She'd been silly to think that she could try to make anything of worth... she was useless, just like the canvas in the other room.

Irene wasted no time in arriving at Ashton's home. It hadn't been too long since she had last seen her, but it felt like an eternity of worry. It wasn't even a particularly important visit - just a friend helping another friend out with something that was very much unimportant. But Irene was still very eager to check up on her. The casket had already been shipped to be buried in Scottish cemetery where his father's family lay. His mother's remains had been shipped there as well. Ash hadn't had the heart to follow them there, though, so with Irene's help she arranged a memorial service to honour Tristan's memory. Ash jolted awake, her heart racing. Something was very, very wrong. She could sense it. She slipped out of bed, murmuring "I'm checking on Tris" as she left the room. She had no clue if she'd woken Jeremy or not, but she didn't bother to check. Tristan had had a pretty bad cough the day before, and she hoped it hadn't worsened during the night. "GUYS, WAKE UP!!!!" Tristan shouted at the top of his lungs as he ran into Ash and Jeremy's bedroom. "IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!! SANTA WAS HERE!!!!!!!" He scrambled onto the end of the bed and began jumping on it excitedly. Ash jerked awake at Tristan's initial arrival, but by the time he actually got on the bed, she was laughing tiredly and sitting up, arms wide open. "Come here, you little stinker!" she said, grabbing him and lying back down again. "Merry Christmas, Tristan." "Merry Christmas, Auntie! Merry Christmas, Uncle!" Tristan twisted in Ash's arms to face Jeremy.

Jeremy grew up in an orphanage and ran as soon as his legs were strong enough.
Eventually he escaped and grew up on the streets.
He managed to get a steady job, but that doesn't mean that this part-time assistant at Miss' Honey's (not her real name) Office and primary-school teacher doesn't have other lines of work.

Horribly awkward and threfore adorable, his sweet smiles and soft ginger curls will have you thinking that this muscular, 6"2 man couldn't harm a fly.
You couldn't be more wrong.

However, this was before he met Ashton Hadley, his intended mark, and soon, she's going to learn the truth......and they and her nephew are going have to run harder and faster than ever before.

Because Jeremy is sick of the blood and the back-stabbing and he is not going to let the purest thing in his life come to any harm.

Live for you, die for you, lie to you

Jeremy had stayed by her side every day except to cut more pieces  off her abusers. Months passed. Ashton grew stronger, and he had to watch her because sometimes like a naughty child she'd attempt things she wasn't ready for...he found her at the top of the stairs once and when he asked what she was doing there she said she didn't know. She was very confused when she woke up often. Her abusers died. He burned their bodies. Ground the bones down and used it to fertilize his plants.   It wouldn't have been the first time. Bringing her Home

She was wheelchair bound. Wrapped up in bandages and plasters with some bad-ass pain-killers and he was asking her if she was okay every ten minutes, constantly being completely careful, making sure to try to not even judder her too much in the chair, wrapping her in cotton wool and he would literally if he thought it would help. He sent a mass text. Ashton is finally home. This Saturday you may all visit. She may need naps and stuff if she gets tired, so just speak softly and don't mention what happened.
